Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke has urged Christians to learn from the ressurection of Jesus Christ as exemplified in the celebration of Easter.
In his Easter message, Adeleke congratulated Christians on the celebration, saying the teaching of the celebration should be allow to always resonate.
Part of the teaching, according to him is to be one’s brothers keeper, particularly at this trying time of Coronavirus pandemic.
According to him, both Christians and non-Christians should consider the lockdown in the state as a sacrifice to stop the spread of Covid-19, just as Jesus Christ is believe to have made sacrifice for the salvation of mankind.
He said, this is the time for the well-to-do to look around them and give support to the less-privileges in line with the resurrection of Jesus.
Adeleke urged Christians to also use the period to pray fervently for the state, the nation and the world in fighting the deadly Coronavirus.
