Governor of Osun, Gboyega Oyetola has released N500 million for the payments of entitlements to retired workers in Contributory Pensions Scheme.
The governor has also released N50 million for the part payment of gratuities to retirees in the old Pension Scheme.
According to statement by the state Head of Service on Wednesday, Dr Olowogboyega Oyebade, the beneficiaries were picked on merit and monitored by the executive committee of the Association of the groups.
The statement read: “Governor Oyetola has approved and released a sum of N500 million for the payments of entitlements to retired workers in Contributory Pensions Scheme.
‘The names of the beneficiaries will be posted on the public notice board of the State Pension Board on Thursday 6th February, 2020.
‘The bond certificates will be presented to the beneficiaries on 14th February, 2020 by the Governor.
“Also, the governor has released another N50 million for the part payment of gratuities to retirees in the old Pension Scheme.
“250 retirees have been picked on merit for payment. Payment of cheques to the beneficiaries starts from Thursday 6th February, 2020..
The list of the affected retirees are already posted at the Public Notice Boards of the State Pension Bureau and the Ministry of Infirmation.
